This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.
That God sends us the burden because He knows that we are strong enough to handle it, has it all wrong.
Fate, not GOD, sends us the anguish. When we try to deal with it, we find out that we are not strong. We are weak at times; we get tired, we get angry and overwhelmed. We begin to wonder how we will ever make it through all the years. But when we reach the limits of our own strength and courage, something unexpected happens. We find reinforment coming from a source outside of ourselves. And in the knowledge that we are not alone, That God is on our side, we manage to go on.

We have to believe in shinning stars, in rays of sunshine, in the colors of tender flowers, in the flowing trees - buzzing of bees - in hugs of our the wet nosed dogs the one we love will live forever.

Each time when I think I can take no more there is some 'ray' that helps me get over one more hurdle. Sometimes it is that "I love you Nana" from my dear Hannah, sometimes it is a pretty rock, sometimes it is one of my boys following in their dad's footsteps sharing the gifts of nature with Hannah and each other, sometimes it is the sun peaking through the clouds.... my Gary saying "I will wait patiently for you."
