For the new people....my deepest sympathy to you....Life can seem grim and terrible right now but just be strong. I know it's hard but believe me, you will survive with time. Time is the key that you need to acknowledge and accept this new reality. No, it will never be the same and we can't get back what we had.  It stinks but we can't change what happened. Don't be afraid to mourn, and express yourself and say what you're feeling...it is necessary to vent, ask questions and even be mad. Seek help if you feel overwhelmed. That's all a part of this rough road that you've been thrust upon. But....don't hide away and sequester yourself from the world or people. Believe it or not, you need both of them. Your life and your path is now in your hands. it is up to you and only you to decide how to live it. A lot of thought and tears will be put into this new life but someday the fog will clear a bit and you'll see that little glimmer of light again.

 

For those of you further along on this journey, many of you know that there is life after death. Of course it's not the same life but it can be a good one if we let it.  It takes a lot of hard work but it can and does happen! Like I have said before, there can be two "happys"!  You have to keep your eyes open, and be honest with yourself. You have to learn to love yourself first and decide what you want and how you want to live the rest of this life. It's your choice and whatever you finally decide on in your mind and your heart is OK.
