Hi, I'm a widow of almost 4 years, and like many of you, I lost my husband at holiday time. Thanksgiving was the last holiday we spent together; he died on December 5, 2008. Each year since has been different,for me -some ok, some angry, all still missing him. I want to say to Sharon, Cliffskat, and others who have been here for awhile, THANK YOU! I would not have been able to get through the grief alone and you have been so supportive. Even today I thought I should by now be beyond needing this group, but in the end I knew I could come here today, Thanksgiving, and admit that I am still "not over it", and that you would understand in a way that nobody in my immediate circle can. For you new members, I am so truly sorry that you have to be here, but know you will find a lot of support and encouragement. Hoping for a peaceful holiday for everyone. laurabp
