This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.
I have been on this website for almost 1 month now and I just want to say thank you to all of you who have given me support with the passing of Jimmy. All your kind words and hugs have meant a great deal to me, especially on them long lonely nights when I could not sleep. This journey has been the hardest thing I have ever experienced in my whole life. Even when I lost my father 3 years ago to heart failure, wasn't as bad as this. I don't know if I will ever be the same, nor do I really care at this point, but It is sure nice to be able to share my sorrows and tears with you all. Love and God bless you all beautiful people.

Part of my healing is to be a help to other people. So...the tremendous loss that I can't even put into words, is made easier, by my at least praying for and encouraging my fellow DS members.
I have said it before, you have all made my life bearable.

Over the years I've lost my mom, my dad, aunts, uncles., and my very best friend ... but nothing prepared me for the unbearable pain of losing my husband.
So THANK YOU to each and every one of you for your help.
