Widows & Widowers Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.
The everyday struggle is real. I find myself wondering if I'd just be better off ending it.
But, I'm still here.
I pray for guidance too, and i also rant and rave that my hubby was taken, that I was left, and that things are so horrible and lonely now.
I have a lot of anger.
I used to tell my hubby to turn the tv off (when he felt good) and lets do something.
Now the damn tv is my closest friend. And it doesn't judge. It just performs, and makes me feel not so lonely.
Council of Dads is my latest interest. And on hulu, Packed to the Rafters, and Sons of Anarchy.
Netflix has a fantastic show from Ricky Gervais - After Life. He lost his wife, he's angry, suicidal, etc. But it's also funny. I keep the closed caption on because it's a British show. Seems to be one of the few accents I can't quite grasp.
But Tony, in the show, is lucky. His wife left hima video diary. Would be nice to have that....
Sorry to ramble.
Thank you for your Reply, your caring words. I am continuing to emotionally struggle each day & still feel upset, not wanting to accept my "unacceptable reality" that my husband and our daughter's Dad is no longer alive. He was my future plans and person-companion I mostly desired to forever be with, grow old with & I am really at a lost of how to go on without him. I gave myself the title/label of how I feel "broken, lonely, lost, has been, sad sack", that describes me, my feelings. I do want to move forward, but honestly- with him not without him. I continue to pray that God will guide me, esp now when I feel so lost without my life companion's guidance. I also hope and pray that God & my husband's spirit & my late Daddy's spirit & my Mother In Law's spirit (( I recently lost all 3 or them)) will help guide me in life & hopefully send me a 2nd Love for now, someone loving who will be there for me & our daughter, when I'm so alone, I'm not a good loner, & someone who we could all be together with as a family in eternity, much later one day. Someone that could help me feel "Joy" again. I am definitely still living on a wing and a prayer. I hope and pray that God will bring Y'all a 2nd Love too and wish that person will bring much happiness & joy in life again. Your friend, dontwannabewidow
