Widows & Widowers Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.
I told my daughter that tutors math students at college to go as well. I told her to think about it as a tutor to help you get through this. Some people don't get math and she helps them with the tools and tips that will make it easier for them. Well now I have a tutor to do the same with my grief. I need all the tools and tips I can get. Good luck. I cried through my whole first session but I am getting better.

Some counselors are what I call "text book" counselors. Others, as in my case, have suffered the loss themselves, so they know where I am coming from.
It definitely helps.
I have found it help so much. I am doing a one on one as well as a group session. They help to validate my grief...they validate that I am not alone and I am not crazy. Just to see all the heads nodding in agreement when you say something helps so much.
So don't be frightened, just go for it. You know we will all be cheering you on.
Blessings,
Sharon
