Not sure if there is already a topic about this or not but if there is let me know.
For those that their spouses had social accounts or email accounts that they you have access too , what do you do with them.
On his facebook I just changed the name to "Memory of his name"
his email account he still receives mainly junk now but I havet deleted it yet because that's where he use to get his payroll and other important stuff and also its where me and I was dealing with his final insurance stuff at through his email.
Has anyone yet decided to delete spouses accounts or usernames etc on social media.
I have his email logged into my phone and when receives an email I start unsubscribing to things to try to help down size the subscriptions that come to it.

My daughter still uses her moms e-mail so didn't get rid of that, and my wife didn't have any social media that I am aware of - I think she tried to set up a facebook account once but never did it.

His iPhone is still active. I use it to take pictures. It is his work phone but they havent turned it off; they just disabled his email. He had personal stuff sent to that email, so a lot has been lost...
I find it interesting that no one has called his number. It seems like the world has already forgotten him, which makes me sad. But life goes on.
Im afraid to cancel some of his credit cards that are attached to airline miles...if I tell them that he is dead, will they take away his miles? I dont like paying the $95 annual fees, but Id hate to lose his hard-earned miles. For now, I have no travel plans...
Sort of proves to me that from Facebook's perspective we are just data points they sell on to other companies. Even if the person is dead they can still sell it.
I was able to close the MySpace account I think.
There are predators who use obituary accounts than get into social media using information to use their names etc for illegal purpose. It did happen 3 years later but I had sent his obituary to the credit bureau and they alerted me and stopped it
