I understand how it is to be alone among family and friends. My prayers and thoughts are with you today....your anniversary day.
Believe me, I understand how you feel. My wife died of ovarian cancer on March 22 this year. We have 2 children, 16 and 13. All the plans we had, etc are all gone. Everywhere I look in the house, she's there. I feel numb and sometimes I feel like "a lost puppy". Her birthday is this month. Everyone grieves a little different. That's all normal. I was listening to a seminar last night and the speaker said that if you crack an egg on the outside it would kill the developing chick and bring death. But, if you crack the egg from the inside, the chick brings life. I just have to look at the "crack in my life" as one that will bring life to my children and I. I still hurt. I still cry a little everyday, but I know Kathy, my wife, would want me to continue to live and experience life. And I know from a man's point of view that your husband would want you to live your life to the fullest. (when you can) I know it's hard. Don't give up. And, its' okay to cry all day. Sometimes you just have to do that.
