I met my husband our junior year of high school. It grew into a wonderful future filled with love and happiness. We were both planning retirement within a very short time. Our children were accomplished adults living there life. Dad and mom were ready to use their savings to enjoy life . My husband retired. I had my retirement in place. He was diagnosed with lung cancer and in 10 weeks he was gone. I didn't cause it to happen. He didn't want this to happen. Its not his fault. It happened. It was the worse thing that ever happened. My life ended as it was.
That was 11 years ago. I cried. I was angry just like you. I was jealous of every couple eating in a restaurant, walking together, going through trials and celebrating their joys. It's hard. It is very painful and there are moments I thought I was surely losing my mind. That's grief. So glad I had the people here who know exactly what it's like. Welcome to the group of survivors. Sharon.
