I totally understand Daria. I had to sell my husbands building and property that he ran his business on two months after his passing. He put his heart and soul into that place. It was his dream and I always took great pride in the fact that together we were able to have a successful business enabling him to do what he loved. I too sold it to someone who I know will take care of it. Sounds silly as it's just a building but it really meant something to the both of us. I also felt like another part of "us" was going away the day I signed the papers. The sad part is that I have to drive by it to and from work each day.
I'm sorry that we have to go through this but we just have to muddle through the best that we can. My heart is with you.

I too daria understand, had to sell our personal vehicle, etc to be able to stay in our home we had. Just remember, that is a part of him out there in the world. That;s what I think about, how his truck is out there chugging around, and getting the gentleman that bought it, from point a to b. I'm realizing the memories are far more important than the things, The things don't come with the memories, the person who possessed, used or drove them was what we think of, and the laughs, serious talks, and smiles are what I remember. big hugs carla

yep, I had to sell my husbands vehicle soon after he passed.
I could not handle doing it myself, so loving friends helped make the transaction. but I was happy that a young mother with kids wanted and appreciated getting it.

I remember that day so well. I also sold my husband's truck back to CarMax. They were so understanding and asked if I wanted to stand in a different waiting room while they drove it around. I could no longer afford the payments and oh how he loved that truck. One of the biggest reasons I sold it back because when the grandbabies would see it in the driveway they thought their Papa was home and it would break their hearts when they came in the house. Still cry just thinking about it.
