I'm sorry peanutbritt. Heartbroken over here too.

So sorry. 7 months. For me. I am trying to refocuse my life.

I just talked to my son about how sick I was feeling and that I'd lost so much weight and he said Mom it's only been 5 weeks (technically 5 1/2). That shocked me. What the heck? It feels so much longer. I was getting so upset because I'm not on top of everything and have so much to take care of and am struggling so much. Six months is going to feel like 6 years if time keeps going this way. Who can survive this?

peanutbrit. But other than dumping your pain on family/friends by taking a final exit, what choice does one have but to survive to the best of their abilities. I hope your pain lessens with time, and you find positive reasons to move forward.

I am so sorry for your pain peanutbritt. It has been almost 5 months for me. Please seek a grief counseling group where you can talk about your pain. It really helps, along with posting your thoughts here. Somehow, just forming the words helps. We are here for you. We care, and we share your pain. You can do this.....one moment at a time. Peanutbritt, i feel your pain , its been just over six months for me to , im dealing with each day and being with family and friends helps keep me occupied. .... BUT .. at home , our home, on my own .. lost, empty, what do i do with the love for him , i miss him so very much, i like you dont think i could ever feel enthusiastic about my life as a widow.... we have to but how do we ? My husband's 3 months away has seemed like forever. I am going to a Grief Support Group this evening. My 1st. I recently read this:
I must force myself to continue to go thru the motions of living, until I feel alive again.
My days are lonely without my husband of almost 40 years. His absence feels like a part of me is gone. Right now, I can't imagine ever being happy again. I feel your pain.
