I had forgotten about our code, but the morning of my birthday I woke and was laying in bed and remembered it...I said I wanted a dozen red and a dozen yellow roses..I told him he could go to one of our three daughters in a dream and tell them...
But, what happened on Birthday/Anniversary..was totally miraculous..
I was working in my front yard replacing a sprinkler head I had taken out with my riding lawn mower..When my youngest daughter pulled in the drive way, and got with a dozen each of red and yellow roses.. and I started to cry..she said, geez, Mom they're just roses..I said honey, you don't even know they are so much more..Then I told about the code...Then she Mom, better sit down I've got something more to tell you..
She was at Costco, and was headed for the check-out when she looked back and saw the roses, and said to herself, I think Mom, might like those..she went back and got a dozen red and a dozen White and once again headed for the check-out..she was standing in line, when she thought someone had touched her shoulder, she turned and looked and at the same time saw yellow roses in the distance, got out of line and went back got them instead of the white..She it was almost like she didn't even remember doing it...we had good long cry, while smiling at the same time..
Dennis, was a skeptic, But he Loved me and our girls and would do anything to help our grieve..
I and my daughters and one grand daughter was close have also, had...
Peace and hugs...Laurie..I'm sorry for your loss...I had a weird experience with bulbs also, about two weeks ago..I do another post on those...
About two-weeks ago I was having a bad day, and told Dennis I need a sign he's still here..
About, an hour later I was sitting in my kitchen, having coffee..when one of the bulbs in my ceiling fan blow out, I went downstairs too get a new bulb, and brought up two..I changed the one, sat down and few minutes later another one blew..I replaced it...and smiled and said thanks Sweetie, I needed that..but..I went upstairs and turned on the fan light over our bed and one light blew out..I thought great, Sweetie, I only had two of the fancy bulbs, too replace the ones in the kitchen..so I went and looked and low and behold..I found One last fancy bulb, in another cupboard..and replaced it..No more have gone out since...;-)...I've other experiences with lights also..
One other sign from Dennis, was my daughter had a dream, where her Dad, came to her with a friend, named Ray..she said do you know anyone with that named that died?..it took me a minute then I remembered Dennis, had, had a friend named Ray, who had died of a heart attack, when he was in his 20's..long before our youngest daughter was born....he had lost touch with him pretty much after High school...She described him and I said it sounds like him...she said do you have a picture I said just the one in your Dad's yearbook..She came over and I gave her the book, didn't say anything..and she picked him out...She said, Dennis and his friend were happy and looked younger..
He said tell Mom, I love her and I'm fine....and was gone...
We've all had signs, with music, that he liked his favorite, What a Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong.. and Rod Stewart's, Forever Young.. which I hear often when I'm a bad day..
The grand daughter who was close, with Dennis, has had a few dreams about him, says he always come to her smiling and winks at her...
She was married in Hawaii, last summer and I didn't go, to close to Dennis's passing..so I gave her my Garter too wear, that I had worn fifty years, before...They were married on the beach, in Maui..
They went to a nice Restaurant after for their wedding dinner...When they all were seated to eat..she said it got kind of quiet..and then It's a Wonderful World came over the restaurant, inter-com...My daughters, grand kids that were there and even my two son-in-laws starting to cry and smile..and said "yep Dad, Grandpa is here...;-)
Hoped I haven't bored you Laurie, but I think it's good to share these stories and signs we receive, from our Skeptics...I Believe...I'll see Dennis again...there are just to many signs, not too..Take care...Gail...
When someone you Love, becomes a Memory, the Memory becomes a Treasure...
Yes we were married for 31 years and knew each other 3 years prior to making a commitment to our relationship. All our married life he as well as I knew when a phone call to one or the other was needed. I think after his being sick for the last 3 years he had plenty of time to think about how he would communicate, interesting that he chose the cell phones.
After that all of us would fine pennies in strange places, my nephew was in the Marines, and found them on his bed, after it had been made, my sister was on an airplane, and found them in the middle of paper towels, and I've found them in my shoes, a couple of times and many times, just out walking..Look at the dates on them, sometimes they are connected to a life event..This has happened many times to me and other family members...
My Dad, liked all things John Wayne, after he died, my husband and I came home one day, and our new TV, had turned on by its self, and their was a John Wayne movie on..It happened again, about a week later, the same thing another John Wayne movie..My Dad was a very strong personality, and he loved his family..So you're not loosing your mind, Judy is just comforting you..;-)
The week when Dennis, passed we were getting ready to go to Lake Powell, with our kids, who own a houseboat, down there..He passed on a Sunday, and we were going to leave Friday..
I told the kids to go, as he would have also..When they got there they were loading the houseboat, when a beautiful Monarch butterfly flew in and landed on the table, and stayed for about 5 minutes..They said could it be a sign, Dad is here..Then they were out in the middle of the lake, on a float tube when, two white butter flies, kept flying around them, they couldn't believe it, becuase you know Lake Powell, how desolate it can be..Then they realized who the second butterfly, was..
My brother had passed a few years before and his ashes were scattered on lake Powell..Needless to say there were a few tears shed...take care..Gail.
