I came across this song a couple months ago and instantly liked it. The more I listen to it the more it makes me think of two things. The first is Dina, gone almost 2.5 years now. Especially the chorus. It makes me think of the strength and determination she showed during her four month hospitalization before dying. She was an inspiration to countless people as she was slowly but surely overcoming the bleakest of odds. She was fighting to make her way back home to our daughter and me. It didn't go as planned but the strength and memories she left with us will take us a long way. That leads to the second thing...my daughter and me. We've gone through the worst of this journey (I hope!) and are now living happier, albeit much differently, than I ever expected.

I'm a music junkie and I thought others might enjoy this song so I wanted to share it.

Great song. I am also a music junkie, and a few months ago a song played several times in a row... (that is one of the strange things that sometimes happen here now)... I was in the truck, and it was a song I had never heard before, and I now love it. It's called "Open Up Your Eyes" by Daughtry. Everything in that song just speaks to me on a level I cannot explain... from the rose to the December date...
I bought a new CD Friday, it is from a band I love (Shinedown), and was just released. the 5th song, is called "How Did You Love" and I am left in awe of the lyrics... and the entire song.
I listen to all kinds of music... I always have, but right now, I cannot get over these songs.

I'm the same way with music. Some songs really hit me. Our song was Trisha Yearwood's "How Do I Live". That song has been coming on the radio a lot lately. It's 18 years old. I rarely heard it played before.

Last month I bought Bon Jovi's new album Burning Bridges. One song on there really speaks to me. "Blind Love" There's a lot of lines in that song that really hit home. I bawled the first few times I heard it but I felt I had to really listen. Yet it's comforting to listen to.
