I have never seen my husband in a dream since he passed. A couple times while he was alive and fighting the cancer, I dreamed that they lost him in the hospital and nobody knew where he was! I guess it was an omen of sorts.

I'm happy that you felt some peace this mornning. I'm sure that she would want you to know that she is OK, because she is you know. It is those of us that are left that sometimes aren't.

What a wonderful experience for you and I am glad you felt content. I saw my Wonderful husband in a dream a few weeks after he passed. He was young and healthy and gave me a tender hug and kiss. I woke up so happy I had seen him, but it was so soon after he passed that it made me sad too. I hope he comes again. And often. I miss him more than he knows. So happyfor you. Hugs, Michele

The first time this happened to me, maybe a month ago, I was so happy to see my wife in my dream, i gave her a big hug. Then we went to a restaurant with some friends (in the dream). When I woke, like you, I felt sort of happy, even though I knew it was a dream. More recently, she's there as if she's supposed to be there, and in my dream I'm not surprised to see her. Last night we were in a Chinese restaurant, this time with other friends. Yes, going out to eat was one of her favorite things to do.

Yes, I've had a few...and most of them are the way you described it, where I can't really remember but felt his presence when I woke up. I did have a few dreams where I remembered seeing him, but a couple of them were disturbing...the first one happened after I had brought his remains home. I dreamed that we were sitting across from one another, and he was staring straight ahead. I started to say something like, 'Thank God it was just a dream'...but then I saw his urn...I looked at him, and he looked up at me...then I woke up. But I had another one where he was at the door, at least 20 years younger than he was when he passed, with a white glow around him.

I had a dream a few months after my husband died in which he told me several times "I'm OK". It was so very comforting!

Unfortunately I haven't had any dreams, however 2weeks after his passing I was sleeping soundly & suddenly jumped up in bed (which I had never done before) I looked around then looked at the clock and it was 1AM exactly the time he passed 2 weeks ago.

I also experienced as I was packing to move last July, that our gas insert fireplace suddenly turned itselfs on & the side button that we used would not turn it off, so finally found the remote control to turn it off.

When moving to Arizona, while driving at one point we heard a noise & couldn't figure it out then it stopped then few minutes later it started up again....It ended up being my battery operated toothbrush, that I had for years. It had done that before or since.

My ceiling fan will turn on and rotate out of the blue every so often in my bedroom & I have 2 others that have never done it...

I would love to have a dream to remember... maybe someday

In my previous comments..... I meant to say that the toothbrush that turned on ....... had NOT previously done that before...

JoAnn, you are definitely getting signs! Take comfort in them.

The first time my husband visited me I was dozing off to sleep and felt him lay next to me. Then I felt him put his arm around me the exact way we slept for 40 years. It was the best nights sleep I had in a long time and I was surprised to wake and not have him here. Sharon

I had a few dreams of my late husband. Two were him doing his regular routines before cancer ravaged his body. Another dreams was he was taking care of his father's boat. He liked the boat but, there was little time for it because life was so busy. I think he was telling me that he's enjoying the feeling of the water. Whenever I'm at the beach I feel his presence, it's like we are both in the same body of water.

JoAnn, those signs are really comforting...I have experienced a few myself...one in particular, which I don't tell a lot of people about, because of the nature of it, came shortly after my husband had passed...my son, who is 19 and autistic, had a bad meltdown in which he was hitting himself to the point where his ear started to bleed. I put my forearm between his head and his fist so he wouldn't do any more damage. When he calmed down and I took my arm away, the blood on my arm had formed a near perfect heart with what looked like a pair of wings above it. I had been lamenting to myself over how I wish he was here, and I had a tattoo done on my other forearm with a heart in his memory about a week before it happened. I snapped a picture of it. I don't tell this story much because not everyone understands the situation with my son, and others might think I'm full of shit, or smoking too much weed. But it was there. I posted it on FB, and I may post it here on my profile if I can remember how to do it...

Very cool that Amy came to you with peace in your dreams and left you with peace in your heart upon wakening. I've had more than a few dreams of J . . but have never woken up with peace in my heart. Kudos to you and your Amy. This is awesome! Hugs, D

When my husband had first passed, maybe for a couple of weeks, it seemed like I could feel that he was near. Perhaps just missing him so very much and the sorrow, I don't know. Those of you who have dreams abt. your loved ones are fortunate. I don't remember my dreams usually. It would be great and then a bit scarey, cause I am just a coward I guess !lol I think it would be so interesting, we hear so much that it IS them visiting and telling that "they are okay".

Yes, I had a dream not long after my husband's death. He looked strong and healthy, just as he was before he got leukemia.
We embraced and hugged, it was a wonderful dream. I still have peace, remembering his visit in my dreams. I truly believe, my husband, Ben was letting me know that he is always close to me and he is OK.
I am so happy for you, what a gift it is to have those special dreams.
I would love to have another "visit" from my Ben.

I have had similar dreams of my wife too. They are usually different in some way than regular dreams. I wake up feeling like I was just shocked by a tazer. I tingle all over. It happens every time she visits me in a dream. Her first visit was a couple weeks after her passing. I started making notes of every dream so I can remember them. This past March I had a dream where it was my retirement party and she was there. The weird part was I saw a calendar on the wall and it had a date of January 22 and knew it was a Friday but couldn't see the year. I'm 62 and have been thinking about retirement lately. I looked to see which Friday was on that date and the next two are 1-22-2016 and 1-22-2021. So i guess I may know my retirement date....
