Hi all,
Ive started college up again. first time since 2009. I changed my major from elementary education to addictions counseling and I am so glad I did. I don't believe in after life or anything, but I love my classes and literally could feel my sweet john smiling down on me. This is the first time since I lost my husband that I have had alone time...the kids are going to daycare now and my school is paying for it. my 3 year old loves it...the baby not so much lol. I feel horrible not having them with me all of the time but I am getting some more rest that I need. the kids are growing so fast and remind me so much of their father. I love seeing him in them! I am still working through my grief. Loving him so much and not being able to have him here. but I do feel really good about my choices that I am making and looking forward to the day when I can support the boys without the help of my parents. John would be so proud of me and that helps me so much to know that. I hope every one else is doing well. its such a hard journey to lose the love of my life. but I just live every moment trying to live up to his expectations and to be good role models for our sons.

I know what you mean when you say you see your husband in the boys and the feeling you get. I too am greatful at seeing glimpses of my husband in our 2 boys. You're right though, wishing that their dad was here to see them now can be tough. I do wish you the all the best. I'm sure your hubby is proud of you.

What a terrific job you are doing with the boys and your career. It is good that you are getting some time for yourself, as everyone needs that for balance. I think the reason you felt John smiling upon you, is because he really is. I can only imagine how proud he is of the love you are giving to your children, and the career path you have chosen. God bless you and the kids, and comfort you as you miss John. Couldn't be more proud of you my friend. Take care;
