It is unbelievably hard to deal with the death of a spouse you loved. sorry for your suffering. My first wife died from cancer several years ago, and the first couple of years were very rough. If you feel totally stuck, try a grief support group. I'm attending a divorce support group that is helping me now. Keep in touch.

It sucks is the best way to phrase it. Last week we would have celebrated 10 years as a couple. no looking forward to our wedding anniversary at all.

junlu, I couldn't agree more......no one seems to understand that half of me left with my husband and I will never be whole again, it's been almost 5 months and seems like yesterday. This is the hardest thing I've ever had to face

Tommy and I had a anniversary last week , it would have been 37 years :( I don't know how I made it thur that day except I stayed busy. If I set and think I start to feel 'crazy' cause it's so hard to believe .

Hugs to you. The week of my own 6-month was a built-up of sadness. It was also the week of Valentine's Day as well. But I felt better immediately afterwards - so this too shall pass.
