Yesterday was 4 mos. that my husband passed & that day of the mo. is already hard enough to take but to add to my misery I have the flu really bad so I couldn't even get out of the house to try & take my mind off what day it was & I'm just missing so much having my wonderful husband here to take care of me when I'm sick, my daughters been doing her best to help me out but it's just not the same as having my husbands TLC, just having a pity party today & missing him soooo much I almost can't stand it.

Hey Kim,
I know how you feel, in Jan I had some minor surgery and when I woke in the recovery room my first thought was that he wouldn't be there to take care of me, b/c he always did regardless if I just had a sinus infection, made me rest, eat soup, etc...so I'm sorry but I do know how you feel. Hope today is much better for you both the flu and your feelings. Sending you a warm hug.

Kim, I also know the feeling. I have daughters that help but it is just not the same. Hope you feel better. We all have the right to have a pity party. This is not an easy road. Brenda

I also know how you feel, dear, I have been there with the flu in January, and it also has been 4 months since I lost the love of my life.

It is said that we always have to try to look for the "silver lining", and in your case that is your daughters who are there for you. It is not the same, for sure, but they are there. I did not have ANYONE to help me while ill. Hoping that you feel better real soon. Jeanne.

Funny in a sad way, when we were kids, we wanted our moms, but as adults, we want out spouse.

I have found when I've been very sick since my husband left, I ask him to hold me, somehow it helps.

I hope you are feeling better. I too get anxiety attacks as the date of his passing comes each month. I miss all the care he gave me too. Always my first cups of coffe in the morning , while I waited for meds to work to get me up and around.

I had hip replacement surgery after losing my husband and three days later the dictor wanted to discharge me. I cried, unknowing how I would cope alone. I did it, but sometimes it's still scarey to be sick and alone. Hope you feel better soon. Sharon

Thanks everyone for your well wishes, I'm finally feeling better & returned to work today, it was a miserable few days for me but I survived it as I have done everything else these last 4 mos. & so life goes on.........................................Kim
