I was enjoying a Maya Rudolf spoof of Melania Trump eating diamonds (very funny) and I recalled her mom (Maya's mom Minnie Ripperton) and a song from her 1979 final album (Minnie passed away that same year from breast cancer - she was only 32 years old).
that song was hauntingly beautiful to me then (prepping me for sorrow now?) It holds even more haunting beauty now. But this song here really blows me away...not only is it real, from someone who has been there...but this shows us that her voice is just as beautiful...if not more (I say more!)...than early Whitney Houston.
I know guys ain't supposed to cry...you're just gonna need a real dark pair of sunglasses for this one.
