I went to the cross in our pasture where we buried the urn, I felt nothing there. I came to the house that my hubby built, I feel him everywhere. I love it, thank you Lord for memories.

I understand. I don't feel he is at his grave. He was cremated and I spread his ashes at the cemetery. When he passed, the hospital took me to the ER room. When I touched him, he was cold. I didn't stay long. The nurse asked if I didn't want to stay longer. I told her, no He is not there.
I also feel at ease at home. We had lived here for over 30 years. Many memories are here.

I totally understand. I'm not a cemetery visitor for the same reason. I feel the presence of the people who have crossed to the spiritual realmmmore in my everyday life than standing where the body dwells. My husband was cremated and his ashes thrown on a mountain side he requested, but he is bigger than any container can hold. He is with me forever. Sharon

When we left the cemetery after the homegoing of my husband on August 5, 2013, I had said that I would check the gravestone after they laid it, and I would never return. My husband is not there and I have no desire to go to the graveside. I feel the same, as I find more comfort and closeness to him in our home. He died in our bed and I have slept there every night since. What should I fear when I loved him so much.
