March has truly been the "month from Hell". Nearly every day I relived the horrible events leading up to the end of Nick's life. March 27th was about all I could handle. Even though Nick died during the early morning of 3/28/11, it was the 27th that was pure agony. The flashbacks I experience are very very realistic. The emotions & feelings are the same as when these things were actually happening. My grief counselor is recommending me to a doctor to begin working with me for PSTD. Knowing this you now know how the months of March and particularly the 27th was.

However,so many of you showered me with your love, caring and support that you helped me make it through this most awful of times. May of you sent me personal messages. I received phone calls. I received more hugs than I could possibly imagine. Thank you, each and every one of you. You truly made a huge difference for me.

The outpouring of love and support reminded me of a song written about one of the verses in the New Testament spoken by Jesus. Here is the chorus of the song.
"As I have loved you, love one another.
This new commandment, love one another.
By this shall men know, yea are my disciples,
If you show love one for another."

Thank you so much for sharing your love with me at one of the darkest times in my life. My love and deep appreciation goes to each of you. I wish for all of us continued healing and in time true sunshine in our lives.

Darlene, I am so happy you made it through that torture, and are on that road whatever paths it takes toward healing.

What a kind post, Darlene. It's nice to hear that DS made a difference for you--enough to help you through that very rough time. That's what a support group is supposed to do! Sending you thoughts of healing and comfort. And hugs!

I am glad you found the love from DS helped you through this difficult time. I know we all have some rocky days ahead but it gives me so much comfort knowing we are with people who understand and will always be there for each other. Know you continue to be in my thoughts and prayers, Hugs Lu Ann

I recall re-living that last month of my husband's life a year later. It is probably something most widows have done. I'm glad you were helped by the support of DS friends. It is really wonderful to have the understanding and encouragement of those who know just how we feel. Wishing you peaceful days - Doye

Darlene, We have and are walking through the path you walk, we fall in the same pits and support each other helping to climb up again. You are not alone and we are always here to listen and understand. I find this site and the people,here the most important thing in my survival. Sharon

Darlene, The blessing of this site is the love, caring, and generosity of spirit that is here. When our hearts are broken apart with this horrible loss I feel it also is opened up to vast amounts of compassion and caring. I didn't find this site until I was at 14 months. I do remember the pain of getting to about 9 or 10 months on where I would recall what we were doing the previous year---in my case since it was sudden death---without a care in the world with no knowledge of what was about to happen. It was so haunting and difficult. I had several friends that are wonderful listeners and even though they didn't fully understand by experience, they loved me and would listen to anything. What a blessing to me. I am thankful for Daily Strength also for all of the true understanding via life experience. We ALL are truly doing a good thing here by sharing our hearts and experiences.

I am so glad that the people here on DS helped you through this difficult time. That is what is SO SPECIAL about this group. They have "been there, done that" and it truly helps to walk with a group on this journey, than to walk on your own.......

I'm doing this entry just to bring this posting closer to the top. There are so many wonderful people who are such a help to me this was the only way I could think of to tell each person how much I appreciate them and that their caring really does make a difference. Darlene

Although it, unfortunately, can't change anything, I am glad this past year and this month of March is over for you. I agree that this site and its members truly make a difference in this horrific "journey" we are on. It is comforting to have others to communicate with who understand. Continued healing and sunshine in our lives is a beautiful wish from a beautiful person, thank you. Take care, God Bless.
