Widows & Widowers Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.
Take each day, each hour, and each moment as it comes. Your grief will come over you at unexpected times. It comes in waves and can seem overwhelming. You can get through it. Treat yourself kindly. Now is the time to think of yourself. Sleep when you can, eat well and exercise. It helps a lot.
My husband passed on August 17, 2017. Those first days and weeks are very hard. You will feel raw. Your emotions will be on the surface and all over the place. Take care of you. Warm and sincere hugs....Linda
if you ever need to talk, just message me. I am here for you and will listen even though I don't have answers for it all.
a million hugs~
The problem for all of us here is that we loved our spouse and enjoyed our lives with them. We were happy before they were ripped away. If not, we wouldn’t even be on here. So what are my words to you? Not many. I’m a mess and wreck. I had to stay home from work today. But I would say to seek out help as you’ve done here. But also, in-person help with a grief counselor and support group. They have helped me immensely. Talk about your husband often and open. Find people who will listen. Post your feelings here. When I first joined, I posted my story of what happened to my husband. That helped me.
