It was just a song when we were together. Now it is such a sad song to a lonely person.

Yeah, this is one of the ones on my mental soundtrack. Like some of the others, it was written about a break up, but it seems even more appropriate for our circumstances. Others like that are Vince Gill's "Nobody answers when I call your name" and "I need you." Sometimes they help if you mind is playing them when you are in a safe place to express yourself and get out some of the emotion.

I have more trouble with the ones about love that were written for a couple still together. I was trying to give myself some therapy cutting the weeds away from the roses the other day and "LIke red on a rose" an Alan Jackson song kicked off in the back of my head and the next thing I was out of that garden and into the chair crying.

Oh, yes, listened to that song many times as a teenager! I thought I was alone when I wasn't in relationship with someone--had no idea how alone one can actually be!

I guess that says it all......

I remember the song. A little sad that it goes so well with my screen name.

Sad but true. Maybe someday things will be different.

I like the song by Drake "Hold on We're Coming Home" I try to think of it as a good thing. This was the first song that jumped out at me the day after my husband died. I like to think that by coming home, this is my husband going to heaven but still watching over his family.
