My husband was kind, generous, and had a very funny & dry sense of humor that always made me laugh. He could build or fix anything and he lived for completing projects for me and our home. He was shy yet loving. I miss him so much.

My partner did everything for me and also had a great sense of humor. One time when I saw a couple with a brand new baby he said "still has the price tag on it"! Miss him all the time.

My husband was so much fun.!! He was never in a bad mood even after working overtime. He loved to do magic tricks for the kids. He would help any one, any where. He was generous and he showed his love every day.

My husband had two quotes he used "it is what it is" and "better than a sharp stick in the eye", yep he made me laugh, we loved one another like crazy love and him being a tall confident biker dude was the icing on the cake. God how we loved one another. Miss that old biker!

She was a giver. She went out of her ways to help her family if they needed anything. Kind-hearted, generous, and playful. We teased each other all the time, had a lot of laughs.

And creative! She could make 100 recipes out of hamburger.

My wife was a beacon of positive energy that beamed like the summer sun right to the end. In contrast she was raised on the streets of hells kitchen in mid Manhattan New York so she could channel a George Carlin kick your butt attitude at the drop of a hat, complete with regaining the NYC accent and tone. It is what it is, that was her bottom line also. A year next month, My mourning period is coming to a close, No idea whats next, but the feeling of a door closing fills the air and the house feels so empty.

Coldbiker: We NYC women had to learn that tough attitude back in the day to survive around here. Didn't stop us from being smart, sensitive, caring women too! The one year mark does bring change, both good and bad and the roller coaster of emotions continues. But yes, I too, at that time felt a change come on. Hang in there. Marybeth

I loved his blue eyes...I could get lost in them. He was the best adventurer, WOW did we have fun...even while we were working like crazy for our business. He made me laugh and think...he challenged me in a good way. He truly was my soulmate

I do not understand "the mourning period"...... and it being "the first year."... my husband died 6 years ago yesterday and I am still grieving. In the spirit of the subject line/post, he had a brilliant mind that astounded me daily and being able to have an intelligent conversation with with him about a variety of subjects was an incredibly sexy experience.... it made going out for a drink or dinner seem like an old-fashioned date, like we were always discovering new angles in each other's character and personality. We never stopped dating. And I miss that so much that I can't bring myself to even try dating other men.... I am sure I have set the proverbial bar too high.

He would say, if someone asked him how he was doing, "If I were any better, I'd have to be triplets." That's because he was already a twin. I found him a triplet. Dennis was 6'2"; this guy is maybe 4' tall, rides a small bicycle around town. But they did favor - hair, face... I still see this little guy (he also works at Walmart as a greeter), and I kind of smile and feel sad at the same time.

We don't stop grieving, but at some point we do have to continue living. "Whatever it takes."

My husband was the most giving person in the world and he loved with his entire heart. I used to joke with him that we weren’t going to have any money because he was always giving to other people, but how people speak about him now, I strive to be just like him. He could make me laugh in the middle of the argument. We just clicked from the first day I met him where we worked together. The first day we met he turned to one of his friends who was a coworker and was like I love her I’m going to marry her.

Cliff was brilliant, but he never lorded it over me. Quite the opposite - he always respected my intelligence and valued my opinions. We never had to talk down to each other or dummy down for each other. We grew together and grew to enjoy the same things together. We'd finish each other's sentences all the time. He was the most spiritual person I have ever met, and was a scholar when it came to religion. Our boys grew up with wonderful guidance spiritually. He was creative and talented - musically, artistically, and a true craftsman and a gifted writer and designer. In his own way, he was extraordinary.

Yes, he was crap at some things, too. But he was gorgeous and funny and my best friend, and I miss him every day.
