Your frustration must be reaching the boiling point.
I have had similar things happen (most of us have, right?) called the company, they came out, NOTHING. Repeat of actions, NOTHING. Yet another repeat of actions, NOTHING. Good grief did I feel dumb. I put their number on my speed dial and waited for the next occurrence (of course it would happen again). When it did, I pushed my trusty speed dial number and said, "Hello, this is TJ, your worst nightmare."
You are certainly having your patience tested. I hope your water problem can be solved soon and that your car's refusal to run was just a quirk. Hang in there. TJ
Update: My problem was solved, but not without several visits. I got to know the rep not only by his first name, but by his voice, and vice versa. Sad, huh?
Hang in! Kaaren
Sorry your are having so much trouble. I had a weird deal like that with a floor drain kept backing up a little bit had it looked at and cleaned out and everything was ok for a couple of weeks. Then one night heard noise down stairs sewer water was gushing up out of the drain flooding the basement and causing thousands in damage .Still don't know what caused it.but hasn't caused any more trouble.
Did the guys you had out think it was in the drain system. It could be something out in the street causing intermittent back up. Dave
I went home, and without really thinking, had to go downstairs to retrieve something. I flicked the switch, not even thinking, and the lights came on! I looked at his picture and thanked him while I was crying in disbelief. I opened a drawer that I had opened earlier to search for the warranty and suddenly, plain as day, there it was. I am crying now as I think of it. My husband must have had a hand in it. He was like that and I love him.
My bathroom smells like bad gas....yes a huge fart. It does not stink all the time, it stinks mostly on hot humid days. I used to think the dog had gas...but then it lasted for hours...beyond possible for one person or animal. I don't know why.
I have had a snake run through it. There is a sub floor under it, maybe that is the problem, but there is seal under the toilet and it is not wet anywhere.
Why only on hot humid days? I have city sewer that has a pipe that goes from my house to the mail line.
Any plumbers out there that have an answer to this? I use an air freshener which then makes it smell like "ode de la flowery fart!"
I hope we both find answers and stop having plumbing problems.
J.R. died 21 months ago and he was my 'fixer of all'. I learned so much from him and by watching him do repairs. Since he died, "Murphy's Law" has become my creedo.. Early on, I wanted to kick trees and spit into the wind -- and rip everybody's heads off and spit in their windpipes..........Now, I'm much more able to laugh 'it in the face' and laugh at myself.
My older sister said to me the other day, "I am so proud of you for the way you've handled things since J.R. died." Now, that makes me cry!! My Best, Nancee
Love and Hugs, Martha
