I am so sorry Marie. My 37th anniversary would be on June 30, and I have been dreading the date for weeks. On top of that, his 60th birthday would be on the 27th. I have no idea what I will do those days. As much as I hate how fast time passes, I wish I could just skip the dates entirely. I do not feel like I am healing, either, jut growing more numb. It would have been 36 years for us on June 8. I am also 58 (will be next month) It was a sad day but I made it through.

I hope yesterday was filled with good memories and gradatude for the wonderful 36 years. I hope the time spent with husband yesterday was filled warmth and knowlege of a life well lived, and the greif and pain took the day off. I did have you in my prayers last night. God Bless Dave

Monday would have been my 30th anniversary. It was such an awful day. I spent the day going to his grave site, going to where we met, walking around the college campus we attended, and going to the church where we married. That night, I had supper with some widow friends. It was such a bittersweet day filled with so many memories and tears. I cried on and off all day. It was a sad and draining day, but very therapeutic.

It is your anniversary. Rejoice. Your husband is with you in spirit. Be glad that you had 3 decades and six years together in marriage. ( I would give anything to be in your shoes .) You have so many happy memories to reflect on. They will bring you both gladness and sadness. I support you today and pray that you find comfort and a sense of peace.

How true your words are. Everyday is a challenge. Sometimes I feel that if I can just shut the world out I would be okay. I'm so tired and would certainly welcome being with the Father and my DH.
