Yes, good luck to all in here...2:57 am and no Santa and no wife. Rough journey and lots of miles to go.

No Santa came to my house this year, no miraculous return of my dear husband, and no comforting dream last night, but I wish a gentle day to all here and peace to all in the coming year.

Well Christmas Day is over and I have to say it was way better than I had anticipated (sometimes it pays to have low expectations ;) )
Church last night with my MIL and stepchildren. First time in that particular church since the funeral and it was surprisingly warm and comforting. Most unexpected. Lunch today out at a restaurant with family and brother and sister in law. Again really nice and gentle.
A few sneaky tears but overall good. Warm memories and small but thoughtful gifts.
I hope those of you still going have as nice as a day. Merry Christmas everyone and my wishes too for peace, hope and joy in 2015.

Yes, it was a peaceful day! Watched a chick movie with my neighbour and cried like a baby! Reminded me of when Art and I first met. God I miss him but I will survive!! Hugs everybody!!!!!!! We made it, I hope.

Peaceful but sad day for me. Half the day with my children and some of my grandchildren.
Just finished watching a Netlix movie called "The Face of Love"
With Annette Benning and Ed Harris..about a widow who met an exact look a like of her husband...surprise ending...I enjoyed it.
Ready for some chamomile tea and bed. Tomorrow is another day

Well I made it through my 3rd Christmas and I can honestly say it was better than the first 2...I didn't dwell on past Christmas traditions that we shared..I didn't feel out of place at my sisters...there were a few pangs of wishing he could see our grandsons...since 2 of them can now say Merry Christmas Grandma...but I found myself focussing on what I was seeing and hearing ..anyway wishing u all ..good things and maybe a spark of hope....

Sandra - I just watched "The Face of Love" myself a couple of weeks ago, after a gent I was dating broke off with me... it's a beautiful film. Helped me cry my heart out, and heal a little more.
