Fellow DSers, as I've read some of the posts over the last few months, it appears that this has been a humdinger of a summer for the DS Group. There are so many new members who have joined our ranks, and my heart goes out to them as they begin this journey of loss with fits and starts. I, for one, am so very ready to join other DS friends in a time of relaxation devoid of the dreary routine of solitude.

This is a reminder about the Ohio September 17 Gathering in case you would like to join us. I think there are a few rooms that remain in the block of rooms designated for our group. Don't forget to make your reservations if you are planning to stay overnight (motel information below).

I plan to meet them for dinner and then some will accompany me to the airport to greet John Flynn who will be flying in from Australia. Let me know if you will be arriving early. It would help in making arrangements for the evening.

I sure hope those of you who have not been able to attend one of the earlier Gatherings will consider joining us. It will be a day to connect and put a face with a nameat last!!! As I've mentioned before, the other Gatherings have been uplifting and full of just plain fun. I think it surprised all of us how quickly we bonded. Conversations ranged from lighthearted and fun-loving to camaraderie between determined survivors. What a special group of people the DSers arekindhearted, supportive, and compassionate.

OHIO GATHERING

WHEN:
September 16-18. The main day being Saturday, September 17, 11:30 a.m.

WHERE:
The Gathering will be held at my house (address to be given by private message). Weather permitting we will enjoy a bonfire in the evening. Remember those S'mores from the Ohio 2010 Gathering !!!!

LODGING:
Hampton Inn, 11484 Allen Road, Jeffersonville, OH 43128 (1-71 Exit 65 @ Route 35) (740-948-9499), $80.10, not including tax. This includes a hot Continental Breakfast.
