This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.
October is the most difficult month for me and our youngest daughter. What would have been our 40th anniversary and my birthday come and gone. His birthday and her birthday are in a couple of weeks. I pray that he would come in my dreams but nothing happened yet. The night before my birthday, the song "love you a thousand years" came on the radio around the time he had left me his last voice message, so I took it as a sign he sent to me and gave me some comfort.

I'm so sorry...October is a tough month for me, too..(.the 28th would have been our 20th wedding anniversary...) I'm glad you found comfort in the sign he sent you, and I hope you have more comforting days ahead of you..

Just know that he is there with you. You will get those signs, when the time is right, sometimes our brains shut down, only allowing us to process what we have been through a little at a time. Ive had a few dreams now of sean, and some weird things happening. You will know when that special connection happens... Give yourself pemission, toaccept what is the unexpected.. big hugs carla
