I'm so sorry that you are having so much dumped on you. It isn't fair to have to deal with so much sadness, life can be "so cruel" as you said. I know that since my husband died, it seems like it has just been one thing after another and most of it has been sad or expensive. I'm tired of things breaking around here, my sons' girlfriend has been through some tough things because she loves my son. She has stood up for him in the face of a vicious x-wife. I'm tired of people dying on me too. I swear, if I weren't just putting up a passive attitude, I would have to commit myself!! I hope that you can stay strong, it's okay to cry, that's about the only thing no one can take from me !! damit !! Life is overwhelming to me at times but I know I don't have a choice, I have to keep going and live my life. Right now, there isn't much happening in my life, it's lonely and sad. I know that is how all of us are and why my heart goes out to you because I know you are a good person with a tender heart.

I'm so sorry about this news, Michele..I don't understand why life has to be so hard, either...just this evening, I was reading the news, and it was reported that the remains of a 2 year old little girl who went missing in Alberta 2 days ago were found. I literally burst into tears...I don't know these people, but I know the pain of losing someone so dear..and I can't understand why someone would do this..

Michele...I too was the same way and I think that it really is healthy to cry.....healthy to feel for others. I am sure there are expert answers to all this but I will share my personal thoughts on this. It took me well over a year to even truly be willing to accept the fact that my husband was gone...and when I did it was an avalanche of tears. I had this weird fear that if I really let my grief out it would overwhelm me to the point that I would not get up. That did not happen because I guess its like we don't know what we don't know and we know what we know... so once I realized my fear of not being able to get back up ..it became a choice for me..and I chose to get up I guess. The crying for others is good I think as long as we realize its the other persons hurt not our own...I think as humans we cling to certain things in ways we can relate...so for me I finally understand that its ok to feel others hurts as long as we can also feel the joy...Im not very good at putting into words what I actually feel but for me as I started also rejoicing in others joy as equally as the sorrow I was able to do this for myself as well...maybe I had guilt to feel happy..I don't know but I am really feeling a sense of balance maybe for the first time ever in my life. I hope that you too will feel this more often as time passes...even as I type this I find myself over analyzing my self so I need to tell myself to knock it off and finish typing this and move my ass... sending tons of love!!!

I think since what we've been through that we have become more compassionate towards others pain. We know what they will be going through and wouldn't wish that on anyone. Cry for them Michele. It's good for the soul. Prayers to them!

Im so sorry that this hits so close to home for you. You cry not only because you understand but because you care. You are a wonderful person, always here to lend an encouraging word or just a shoulder. Loss is such a raw thing for all of us and we are still trying to cope. You know the heartache and despair he will face.

Our lives are forever changed and we hate to see others join our struggles.

Michele, I'm so sorry. Just knowing your brother- in- law is soon going to be walking this dark road has to be a trigger for tears and sadness.
Only those of us who are already there can fathom the devastation losing a spouse brings. You're such a compassionate person, and have helped so many here, including me. Crying can bring me some peace sometimes. I hope it does for you. It's at these times when we comfort and security our husbands gave us. I wish I hadn't taken it so for granted.
