Good Morning Bo, I am so very sorry for your loss. Being in this situation IS unfair, It hurts, and it will hurt. Amy and I were married for 35 years, but it too was just as if we had started our world together.
The only path is to go through the grief. I keep telling myself, Breath by breath, second by second, minute by minute, hour by hour. My heart does break for you and for all of us in this situation.

Hey Bo, I lost my wife without warning also. I left for work that morning and got back around five hours later and found she had passed in her sleep. No warning. She was fine when I left and said nothing about feeling bad. We were together for 21 years. It went by so fast it seems like we should just be starting out. I'm 57 and it doesn't make it any better. This hurt is nothing you can ever prepare for. After a little over one year I can tell you it does get better in that the pain will diminish to where it isn't knocking you down every second. You have to break it down to every second. Don't even think about there being a tomorrow. It will take of itself. Right now do what you have to do for you and your child. And don't let anyone tell you your going to have to learn to get over it. You don't get over it. You learn ways of living with it. But I will promise you it will become more manageable with time. I didn't want to hear that initially either. It took going thru it to believe it.
Your wife did leave you with a special gift. A child who is half you and also half her. So a part of her is living on with you. Hard doesn't describe this but it is devastating. Just take your time and don't push yourself or let anyone else push you along the way. It does help to interact with those who have been there.
Don't know if your a man of faith but if you are stay in it. It's the only thing that got me this far. Just move slowly.

Hi , the path we are on is just horrible . I lost my husband in our honeymoon just 10 days after our wedding day - nothing can be as early as this right ? N we didn't had kid yet . So I m a childless young widow , have no hopes or purpose to live . It's only my parents who have kept me alive for 3 months now . It's unbearable , the heart feels so heavy and aches for him . It was so sudden and feels like a nightmare and not reality even today . But there is no other go but to go through this process and grieve . It doesn't get better with time , you just get tired of cryin crying and start living and accepting it . Drink lots of water and go on walks if you can . There is no choice to this worst situation in all our lives . I hate this life so much :(

Just keep breathing in and out, one foot in front of the other, and do whatever you need to do to stay healthy and here for yourself and for your child. My wife of 35 years life was cut short due to a driver that ran a stop sign and I received numerous injuries as well.This happened 5 weeks ago. Unfortunately I lost my mother 5 months prior, so I know exactly where you are. I cry daily but not as much. All here have experienced the same as you and will help you in the ways that you need. The healing takes time. Do not lose hope!
