Widows & Widowers Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.

1. Be happy for whatever and whoever you have, and whatever and whoever you once had.
2. Be grateful for small blessings, unexpected wonder, loud laughter, minor successes, and new knowledge.
3. Be selfless - every person is precious - share the wealth of yourself. Someone needs you.
4. Love whoever is still here, starting with yourself first.
5. Dont give up.
The journal entry those were in helped a lot of friends, so I reprinted it last December 19th. The full text is in my journal as the entry "New Year's List - revisited," in case you would want to read the full entry.
Kymberly, I think we think a lot alike. Although I have to admit that for the first time in my life that I am actually thinking of adding the weight loss thing to the list! LOL! Do you think that will automatically jinx it??
Love and Best WIshes for the coming New Year,
Martha
I have mentioned to co-workers that I would like to let go of the anger I've been holding on to. They shared with me that they feel the anger is gone but now they see indifferent. Which they say is not bad that it shows I am on my way to achieving my goal.
As HGSDMS I really have only one resolution and that is to accept life as it occurs, and to trust that everything does happen for a reason. Sounds simple, but I have always been one to try to plan every moment and try to "fix" everything that was wrong (or I thought was wrong). Acceptance is very difficult for me, so we will see how I do in 2015. Wish me luck! LOL I really DO need to "chill".
I have always been one to have a plan, I want to be comfortable not having a plan and just going with the flow.
Hugs, Sandi
My wish in 2015 is that ALL of we suffering from grief will come to a conclusion of said grief, or at least come to a certain acceptance of our reality in dealing with grief. "Resolution" is a key word here.
Big round of hugs to all . . . Dayna
