Welcome Kristen. My welcomes here are always bittersweet. I'm glad you found us but so sorry that you experienced such a devastating loss.
I'm relatively new to both this group and social media. But I've found so much support here that my days are lighter and more hope filled. It's a blessing for me to have company as we all travel this awful road. I'm sure it will be one for you too.

Thank you so much Jaxmate for such kind words. It's been very rough. We'd been together since I was 20, and married for 7 years. I had struggled when I was younger, my son was born when I was in high school, and I had problems with addiction after that. My husband stayed with me through all of that. I've been the caretaker of his best friend who was paralyzed in the accident and survived, since. And now on top of that I recently found out my youngest daughter was abused and molested by the adult son of the older woman in our community who runs an in home day care. I kind of had a minor break down after my husband died, my son and my brother-in-law had to come stay with us for awhile until I became functioning again, so I feel like I'm at fault.

I'm so sorry for your loss as well. It's wonderful to hear about how much support you've gotten here. I'm a fairly young widower (I was 36 when my husband died) and so I don't really have any friends I can relate to.

Welcome. I'm so sorry for all of your heartaches. You're so young to have to experience so much at one time. If you can get counseling it may help. This is a wonderful group. They are kind and supportive, and comforting. I wish you peace and strength. Hugs, Dolores
