I wish you peace and comfort to get through this really hard time of year.
Your story sounds like mine. My husband was diagnosed with a Stage lV brain cancer November last year. He had surgery,Radiotherapy and chemotherapy but died 9 months and 24 days after diagnosis. I’m 55 and he was 57 we had been married for 28years and have 2 daughters 25 and 26. My eldest daughter was married in 2015 so she didn’t have the day to day slog that myself and younger daughter did. I too find that although both are families are very supportive it makes me feel worse when I see them all with their spouses. I suffered from anxiety and depression my whole life but besides my shrink I have a wonderful grief counsellor and great GP. NO one understands how it steals your whole life away from you. I took a leave of absence from my work at the beginning of May and am planning to start back one day a week next year. Grief is tiring and never ending but I am finding 3 months on that I will never get over it as people like to say but will learn to live with it. I feel very lucky to have had such a great marriage but it was my 2nd marriage. You find some good people to talk to it will help you heaps and grieve as we all must do at the loss of our partner and our current lifr
