It takes time to learn how to cope..Allow your family and friends to be around you are fortunate to have them.I tried to count my blessings everyday and sometimes more it's what grounded me ..I am still grieving for Him but him no longer being here has become normal now?...Everyone grieves at their own pace there's no right or wrong way but always remember to Breathe and try to concentrate on your breathing..try to not think but be prepared for what are like waves of grief..they can come at anytime..I may have become more hardened now but i try to not be..I have no friends around me anymore and my family well i rarely hear from them but i have a son who still comes over and texts and calls me all the time. My job here is going really good now and he lives 40 mins away...his wife has issues though so..all you can do is allow yourself to feel as well. Take care and know your never alone (Hugs)

thanks for reaching out !..I feel like I am getting more withdrawn..I always have an upbeat attitude with my friends..but home alone, not so good..I lost both of my sisters my last sister died in May..I am so glad you have your son checking on you, it helps but the new normal is so sad..

So sorry for your loss. I loss my husband of 51 years last October from an auto accident. I take one day at a time, let your friends and family help because they will need to get back to their lives. I have not been able to go to support groups due to Covid but there are online groups. As I look back now 9 mo. later I am surprised I accomplished all that I did but it was out of necessary. Take care of yourself, you are not alone

My wife of 39 years just passed in April. She had been ill for several years, heart failure. We just crossed, 1 year in home hospice. Even though, I knew she was going, the end left me in total shock! Almost 4 months now. I like to walk, and somehow end up in the cemetery each time. I have tried to spend time with my kids and grandchildren but you know, you will still be lonely! Reach out, to your friends! They want to help, just don't know how? Talk about your husband, let it out! You will get through this!

I am suddenly and quite sadly in the same situation you are. My wife, the love of my life also for 43 years, was suddenly taken away from me last week. I am in total shock and going through nights where I'm afraid to sleep simply because I have dreams of us still together.

We had no children. I've been at my brother's since the burial on Tuesday and will only return to the lonely apartment tomorrow. It's just me and our two cockatiels. I know time heals all in a manner we don't yet know how but both of us will get through this. I have all the doubts you feel and the pain to. She was my whole life as I know was too your husband.

The good news is that, you can find someone else to replace that love. I wish you the best anyway.
