hang in there..
Martin, I understand "invisible" . . exactly how I feel. Non-entity and I'm playing with the role quite well. Most days I'm under cover, either in bed or when out in disguise with ball cap on and glasses. Flying under the radar, not wanting to be noticed or talked to. WTH? Again, trying not to judge or analyze self and life. Strange days indeed.
On a brighter note, as I do try to keep it positive, I had a shower today! :) Met with my attorney, probate court, bank, little errands. I actually got out of the house in full regalia! Sometimes we have to fake it til we make it.
Sorry you guys are hurting out there tonight. Just know you're not alone. Sleepless in Schwartzville. xo
The bright note is that balance finally does return and you become visible again. You poke your head out of your shell, when you are ready, and some people take notice and say so glad you are here! It just takes time. I am not the girl in her 20's who took attention as her due, or the woman in her 30s who was proud to be by her husband. I am now that funny lady in her 40s who is proud to be herself. Looking forward to being that eccentric old doll in her eighties who does whatever she damn well wants!
Hugs,
Val
Martin, your personality is so easy to read and your words actually made me smile. I must admit I was a "leaner" too! I've fallen over many times, too many to brag about and enough to be embarrassed about!
I loved being part of a team, a duo, a pair, buddies, best friends.....and, so much more!!!!! I miss holding his hand at every moment I could. He seemed to like it too. I loved stroking the back of his neck and kissing his ears. I miss him so!
Yes, I feel the loneliness with you.

I know I lost myself willingly to be Don's wife and mother to my /our children. But the children grew up and the husband died, leaving who? We are the child our parents raised and the woman /man who married them and now we stand alone all of these people in one. Seek out what you want and begin living it. Changing your mind is allowed and build your own adventure. Baby steps to move in whatever path you choose. Sharon
Hugs to all...
