Due to working now I do not often come here but I think this after it was sent to me really made sense. It may not have at first but now I see it does.
Grief
I had my own notion of grief
I thought it was a sad time that followed the death of someone you love
and you had to push through it to get to the other side.
But I am learning to push through it there is no other side.
There is no pushing but rather there is absorption, adjustment,
acceptance. And grief is not something you complete, but
you endure. Grief is not a task to finish and move on.
But an element of yourself. An alteration of your being.
A new way of seeing and a new definition of self.

Now, is so much pain and fresh wounding.
I've barely started on this road, and my heart is tired.
