That was a tear jerker . . . I've been on-line this morning all over the place with emotions . . from smiles and laughter to tears and sorrow. Somehow seems appropriately cathartic.

I'd like to believe that the stars, sun, moon and ocean are still there . . . just waiting to be rediscovered.

My sentiments exactly today. All over the place with emotions today. Trying to reign them in, but having no luck. Guess I will just cry and let it out then try to go on on this path of grief. Thank you for sharing and take care along this road it is full of bumps and potholes. Robyn

That's a beautiful poem and I used it in my husband's announcement when I lost him in October. It is perfectly true and perfectly sad. When you read it you know what poetry is supposed to do and does so well.

Since I lost my husband over 7 years ago now, I have mixed feelings about this provoking piece. I certainly would have related to it in the first year or more, but now I find it troubling. It's dark, and I was feeling dark back then. It identifies the feelings I felt. That is important.

What is equally important is to understand that this is not a hopeless future. It should not be our future, but a place to identify who and what paths our tomorrows will take.

Our feelings are of total loss, I understand. But the loss can lead to healing and we can find a new contentment and even happiness again. Don't give up on life. Don't give up on yourself. Sharon
