My life without him

As members of this support Group, we all know that this is a journey that none of us wanted to be on.

Going through some papers & pictures I found this note that Larry had written me about 20yrs ago. I'm so thankful & grateful I found it.

He was going on a trip and this is what he wrote.

"Babe, I'm going to miss you so much, I know I may not show it as
often as I should, but I love you more than you will ever know.

Love L


So I say to myself, What would my life be without out him ....

I can't Imagine !!!

I felt the same way. I remember talking to him about how I couldn't imagine how I would survive if anything happened to him. He was diagnosed with lymphoma about 6 years before he died. It was a frightening time and we were fortune to have him survive. Little did I or he know that lung cancer would take him from us later.

Somehow, I did fight through the unimaginable pain, thanks to the support of the people here. We're here for you too. Sharon

What a treasured note you found which probably I am sure told you what you already knew. Like you I can not imagine life with out Jeanne. What I have just started to do is start thinking about what a great life I had because of her. We would not be in such pain if we did not have a great life while we had them with us. Hopefully you will find other notes and signs

Thank you all for the super nice reply's. As hard as it is, so often
during the last year, it's because of our wonderful life together, that
has gotten me through those dark lonely hours. I know there are
more to come, but I will carry on knowing that God gave us
38 wonder years together.

Finding that with a little help from your love I'm sure. My husband and I often joked about each of us being the others "only one" because we began young and struggled to get to where we are today. We wouldn't want to start over "training a new one" I had seen others lose their spouse and I felt bad but never knew their true pain. I would say to my husband how bad I felt for them and say that it would be awful to be without him... It is awful. I miss everything, even the times when we would argue about things and Im sure he wanted to hit me over the head with a cast iron pan :). We grew up together and made a life together. I miss that life. I wasn't an easy wife. So happy that you get to have that wonderful note and it reminds you of how much your love meant to him.

I lost my husband four weeks ago on 7/22 and we were married for 30 years and I don't know how I will go on without him. I still talk to him and have his photo on my mantle and we talk every day. I think that it is good for me to pray and talk to others who are going thru the same things. Please take care and I am praying time will help us all get thru this.
