Widows & Widowers Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.
When you are married, you can tend to have arguments when you will say things you don't really mean. I'm sure it has happened at least once to all of us, especially if there is an 'addiction' involved.
Yes, you deserve your happiness as we all do and it will come. Just takes a lot of time!
Hugs to you and peace in your day.....Mo
You are not responsible for your husbands actions. It may take time to come to terms with this fact. I hope you will give it to yourself and continue to seek help as needed.
Everyone has given good advice and I echo their sentiments saying you did NOT in any way cause him to do it. It came from within him...plus the added complication of the terrible drugs.
Do you have a "suicide survivors" type support group near you? A friend of mine went through a similar death of her husband and she found a suicide survivor support group to be very healing.
Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers,
Sue
