Widows & Widowers Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.
Growing up with divorced parents, my mother had to be both with the old man not being around. It's a tough gig, but it can be done. I also know it's not the same as loosing a spouse this way either.
Take care my friend. Peace, Tim
I look at it as we put her to her final much deserved rest the day befor her special day.
We buried my Dad who passed away January 30, 2006 the day befor Fathers Day June 17 of that year.
I live almost 3 hrs from my hometown and their resting place . But they are not there they are with me in memories and my heart.
Sorry for rambling
All of you are in my thoughts and prayers.
People working in a supermarket near my home looked at me
strangely as I was buying flowers Saturday night. All of them
knew my wife had passed over eight months ago. Finally, I
told the night manager that I was buying flowers for my wife
anyway. T took home a dozen roses and placed them next
to her photos and, yesterday, I list two candles for her that
burned all day.
Just because she is not here, it doesn't mean I am unable to
celebrate her life as a Mother of two children and the fantastic
job she did in raising those children. She will be remembered
that way as long as I am alive.
Blessings -
Darrell
