My Eulogy To Don

July 3rd would've been Don and my 48th Anniversary, when he passed on Mar. 6th, I had him cremated and I chose this day to scatter his Ashes under a Pala Verde tree we had planted and he would keep all the weeds picked from around also we had a homeless cat PK that adopted us, she would always lay right by him while he on his knee's doing the weeds. She past a few weeks after Don, I believe was from a Broken Heart. I had her cremated , so I know Don would've liked her scattered near by. I scattered both. My best friend was her with me, she scattered PK. and I scattered Don's Ashes. To all my DS friends I share my Eulogy, and give you much Thanks for being here for me and helping to comfort me because I know each of you are grieving also for your Spouse's. My Eulogy: Don your Spirit is with me to Comfort me. Til Death do us apart. Dust to Dust. Now the time has come to scatter your Ashes with Tender Love. Eternity we will be together. I Love you Always and you will Always be with me. Until we Re-Unite again, I bid you Farewell for Now. You will always be in my Heart. You are my Soul Mate Forever. Good- bye for now. I Love YOU Don Now and Always. Your Loving Wife.

Beautiful words! It sounds like exactly where your hubby would want his ashes to be. So sweet that his kitty companion is still with him. I'm glad your friend was there for support.

Just very tender words from your soul. Very touching....
My husband's ashes are at home also. We have a cemetery plot but for now it is a comfort he is home, the place he loved the most in his life. May you always find comfort he is close by watching over you - always.

Beautiful. I'm sure your husband was looking down and smiling at the wonderful way in which you honored him. I also think that it was appropriate to have the cat nearby. Good job! Yes, you will definitely see him again, but for now you have all the lovely memories. He would be proud. Hugs, Norma

Hugs and Thanks for your replies. Since I've scattered Don's Ashes a few days ago, our Pala Verde is actually blooming again, it had flowered last month and I thought that would be the only time for the season but now it is full of yellow flowers, so beautiful, That's my Don telling me he is at peace and will be with me always. What an inspiration to share and I thank you for including me in your eulogy. My husband was also named Don and he was cremated as he wanted. He used to tease our daughter before he was ever ill that when he died he was going to sit on her mantle. He later said he wanted his ashes thrown on a mountain near where he worked.
When he passed 7 years ago I had some of the ashes put in a teardrop necklace for me. Some were placed in a clock - urn for her mantle and the remainder thrown on his mountain around a Mountain Laurel plant where he finds his peace forever more. Sharon
