Love and Hugs, Martha
I've heard of this before where people lose their dogs soon after their owners. Maybe the emotional pain is hard on them. My dog was definitely very depressed when my husband stopped coming home. I have a schnoodle that only has a stub of a tail and his whole rear end would wag like crazy when he saw my husband. He's happy when he sees me but it's not the same. Good luck - keep us posted.
My advice is listen to her. She will tell you when the time is right, and you will find peace in knowing she is going to a better place.
Big Hugs, K
This time the seizures were a lot worse. She had one this morning too. They say I can maybe bring her home this evening. I took a day off of work. I went back after only 4 days when DH passed, so I feel I deserve this day off, considering.
As everyone said, you will know when it's time to make the decision to let her go home. I too believe they are running around jumping from cloud to cloud. If the Lord didn't love them he wouldn't have had Noah make room for them on the Ark. Sharon
I will keep my Jed going as long as he is not in any pain.
Sending you strength love and hugs. mutha
Thanks everyone for your prayers and concern. It helps alot, especially since I feel so alone in this. She's my first dog and I always thought my husband would be here for me when I had to let her go.
We had been in this position with our 16-year cocker spaniel. Saving the details, it came down to whether she had quality or quantity of life. We had the discussion with our vet, and I asked what we were looking at if we decided not to euthanize her. In our case, it was 24/7 life support and someone had to be with her. I would not want that for a person I loved, let alone our beloved pet. So, we did what we felt was the best for her. No regrets.
Her ashes were buried with my DH as that is what he had expressed ever since she passed.
