Just say a saying that said you can't move forward when you keep looking back.  Something that is not as easy as it appears.   For one example,  we can't attempt to move forward until we deal with the past and how it effects the present and the future.   Grief is powerful and not easy.  We have lost more than a love one.  We lost our life plans,  our confident, our supporter,  and our 'other half'.  Heck,  I felt I lost everything and I am sure I'm not alone with that feeling. 

The time will come that you won't feel this can't be true.   He won't walk through the door.   That is when you begin thinking what do I do now?  It's another step in the process, and again not an easy one.  Finding who you are alone was very hard for me.   I was married 40 years and dated him from high school.   I accepted the role of wife and mother who also worked outside the home.   I retired when he was diagnosed to be with him for the time we had left.   Our children were adults and independent.   Who is Sharon now?  I struggled.  I found I needed to redefine myself.   And it was a full-time task that had to be done alone. 

I have been here for 9 1/2  years and became one of your community leaders. I made it.  You will too.  And you have used to support you along the way.   Hugs to all.  Sharon
