Tammy, I am so very sorry for your loss! This is an agonizing journey that none of us want to be on. Yet,here we are. I am so glad you came to this site. It has been a lifeline to me. The people here are kind, compassionate, caring and comforting. I am learning so much from those ahead of me in their grief and sharing what I have been going through reasures me that I am not nuts. No, just heart broken with all the emotions that go with this agonzing loss. I hope you will come here as often as you like, we may not ever meet in person, but believe me, we all "get it". Tammy, this is a tough time of the year for us all. For many of us this will be the first Christmas without our loved ones whom we shared so much with over the years.
This Christmas is especially going to be hard on me. The house would be full of decorations. The tree would be lit up and the outside of the house would be lit up as well. This was Amy's favorite time of the year and what was once a happy time full of laughter, singing, and her dancing around is now empty no tree, no lights, no laughter, no more seeing her dance around the house singing Christmas carols. Oh how I miss my Amy. I hope you can get through this holiday remembering the true meaning and I hope the same for myself and everyone else here struggling through another day. Peace to you. ~Pete

Thank you all for your words of comfort and your *hugs. It means a lot. Pete, you call her "my Amy"...I can relate to that. I call him "my Ty". Many people don't get it...they've never lost anyone close to them. But you get it. Please keep me in your prayers.
