The last time I saw my husband alive and off to the airport was 9 months ago. He died 8 1/2 months ago overseas. I seem to have a memory shut down. I miss him every day, but I can't remember his 60 year old face. I only remembered his younger face. When he finally came home almost one month after his death, he didn't look like himself. I didn't feel it was him when he was cremated. I live each day as he is away on business. I look at the phone each day when I come home from work to see if there is a call from him. Has anyone experience a memory shut down or melt down like this?
I know that my sick husband died but I sometimes think of my husband the one before cancer. When he was healthy and full of life. I just think that that one is away somewhere. On a trip or just having fun somewhere. Even tho in reality, I know he's gone, I just like to think of him as still here.
Then I can hang on to hope that he will call or that I will see him again here on earth.
