I found a website for memory bears, "Hold A Memory" in California.
I sent one of my husband's shirts, and today I received the teddy bear.

I'm very pleased with the quality of the bear, and I would recommend the website.
They also embroidered "Pappy" on the bear's paw.

The teddy bear is for my grandson. He is only 18 months old, and it saddens me that he's too young to remember my husband. My husband adored this baby.

I also have a picture of my husband wearing the shirt that was used, and he's holding our grandson in the picture.

I am going to give the picture and the teddy bear to my son and daughter-in-law as a keepsake for the baby.

My sister-in-law took a few of my husband's shirts and made bears for each of my grandchildren and one for me. They all loved them. I sewed some small hearts and wrote I love you on them. She put them into the bears when she stuffed them. I chose a pink one from a shirt he bought one year in honor of breast cancer awareness. I love my bear. Too bad she had to wash it before she put it together. I would have loved to snuggle with it, with the smell of him still on it. The bears were such a hit with my family that I sent her a few more shirts for hopefully, future grandchildren.

I am doing this for Christmas gifts for my fiance family and our daughter. He was born on Christmas and I have just about if not all of his belongings so I want to give them a piece of him to hold. I found one site which is 3 Stitch Creation they are reasonable and you pay after the order is complete. But also look up memory bear workshops in your areas. I have found a few that allow you to bring your stuff and they help you make your own for free. Those are some other options
