My name is Victoria. My husband David and I had known each other since grade school. After we both had divorced from a previous marriage we met again on FaceBook. We've been together for 5 years and married for 3 of those years. Aug 5 2015 my sweet David was killed in a freak and horrific logging accident. I know it's not been a month yet and I hear time heals all wounds. My heart is breaking and I have nightmares of his accident. I'm having a difficult time adjusting to life without him. I got custody of his 9 yr old daughter and I'm raising her as my own. I joined this group in hopes that others in the grieving process might could give advice and things that help and just to have somewhere to vent without judgement and have someone to talk to that knows the feelings and emotions I'm going through.

And Jo, I have the Lord to comfort you tomorrow at your husband's funeral. You don't have to be strong for anybody.
I promise you that what you're feeling will lessen in intensity and although the hurt stays, it doesn't feel so much like a sledge hammer hitting you every minute. Time will be your friend.
Get as much sleep as you can and make sure that you eat and keep people around you who nurture your heart and soul.
We're here for you and know EXACTLY what you're going through.
Warmly,
