Had a 4 day weekend for my sons wedding,it was good to finaly take some time off since my wife past, went pretty well till

the paster spoke about loveones that no longer were with us and I had a hard time holding it together as I looked at my son

who was getting married and his brother and sister it felt like my heart was ripped out.My sisters were next to me and I started

to cry then my sisters were crying my friends wife starting crying then my friend so there's 5 of us holding each other crying in

front of 130 friends and family and I'm ok with that cause I know they get it.When we were done it felt like truck was lifted off

my chest. The rest of the night I don't think I never left that dance floor other than for eats and cocktails, even though my wife

wasn't there in person I know she was in all are hearts and she always will be.Forever ever Love Babe

So glad the wedding went well and you were able to enjoy the moment! It’s times like that we can share ourselves and everyone understands how you feel, no need to explain!

Oh red.... this made me smile! I’m sure it was so hard sitting there in church but I’m so glad that you had such precious friends around you for support. Your wife was apparently loved by many! I’m also glad that that weight was lifted! What a great feeling that is, sometimes you just have to let those feelings flow and get them out in the open for some relief.
I can just imagine you out on the dance floor letting loose! How fun! I know your wife was with you and your family in spirit and I’m sure she was so proud of all of you! Best of luck to your son for a long and happy marriage!

red, Congrats to you and your son.
I know that you were anxious about being at the wedding so soon after your loss. It's wonderful to hear that you were able to honestly express your grief and celebrate at the same time.
I can imagine you dancing. You must have been very light on your feet without the weight of that truck on your chest!

That sounds so wonderful. I know that feeling where you feel the pain and have some tears but then you actually feel a bit better having acknowledged that painful moment. Sharing those tears and that moment makes it extra special-- others were feeling the pain of your wife not being there and you could all comfort each other. And then you went on to celebrate and have a great time on the dance floor! Oh I can imagine your wife would be so pleased and proud. Your story is inspirational. Congratulations to your son and I'm so happy for you that the wedding went well.

Red, Way to go guy!! I Like the dancing part. You're so brave.
I'm glad your first event was a happy one. Mine was not so happy, It was my sisters" death one month after Bob passed.. it was Christmas time. The Church decorated in red and white and my sister in red velvet was too much for me without Bob. I cried through the Funeral and the dinner after. I sat with all my adult nieces and nephews and my kids. I didn't want to be with
"couples". The kids didn't know what the heck to do with this old Aunt Dolores.
