All right folks, I think we all agree, the new format is sucky. As in really sucky, but... I don't think the powers that be are going to change it that much. We are most likely working at cross purposes. They have probably made their advertisers happy, at least that is my guess as to why they did the update.

All that being said, people have rightfully pointed out, this is a lifeline for people. So how can we make this site our own again? Is their anything we can do to make it more comfortable and familiar? What I appreciated the most about this site was the people I met, and their stories of the day. What I am going to try is to post something daily, just something small, and try to respond to at least one post a day from another member. Let's see if we can't get this board rolling again!

Thank you for this, Val. I agree wholeheartedly. And if anyone does not know, there is a support group called DailyStrength Members Community. That is where I have been going to read what suggestions are being made for improvement, what DS is working on, and to throw in the odd complaint, etc. Might I suggest that that is where we all post our concerns about the site and keep the comments on this group to what we are all here for - to support each other in this journey. just my two cents....

Hi Val and I agree. I never posted much before the change but came everyday to read and still felt apart of the forum, but since the change I have felt disconnected from everyone and have been trying to come at least once a day and respond to a post or two. It really is up to all of us, this board was here for me when I needed it, and perhaps we don't like it, but I agree...lets get it going again.

Posting the site complaints in the DS Members community might be a good start. I hate the new site. There, I have said it. I loathe it. But the site design complaints here have pushed all the real posts off the page, so I am not seeing what people are posting when they need support. I know Sharon and Marsha have had the same problem. The CLs are still here, but it's been very hard for us to be as responsive as we used to be because of the new site design. It has been enormously frustrating!!!

Ive decided this is a site to give support and get support...
I got wonderful encouragement and support from all the great people here, when I most needed it...... Now, in spite of every horrible change, I will try and be here, to give back a little of what I got.
If anything this whole "change fiasco, " has made me realize just how much of a 'forever hopeful person" I am.
BTW, I Loathe this new site, too!!.....I had to get that in.....

So what can be done to make this the same close warm caring type site it was. I liked having that long list of subjects that came up & read responses of comfort. Even writing to give some insight, thoughtful messages, and hopeful caring words. Its hard to find how to even manuever around this sight
