I just finished watching a made for TV movie "Accused at 17". A woman's son commits suicide & she tries to find out why. She learns that he was with 3 friends who hired a stripper for a party and one pushed her down the stairs and killed her. (typical story) The 4 get rid of the body bc of course they are all rich and will no longer get scholarships but her son is very guilty & wants to go to the police so the 2 brothers kill him and make it look like suicide.

Anyway - at the end the mother of course finds out the truth & the others are arrested. This is only a couple of weeks after the death and a friend calls the mother on the phone and says, "you must be so happy this is finally over". The mother laughs and says "oh yes etc. etc." The friend says "have a FABULOUS xmas" and the mother says "oh yes I will - you too" - (remember this is only 2 weeks after her only son's death). She hangs up the phone and has a big smile on her face - her dtr too - as they each put an ornament on the tree. They both smile as she puts an ornament with her son's picture on the tree and look at each other happily as the mother then says "it's just the two of us now".

No wonder we're misunderstood. Who writes these things??
